The 5 Immutable Laws of Politics

  1. Regimes will take only those actions that are in the best interest of acquiring or maintaining power.
  2. Regimes will take only those actions which they believe to be in the best interest of their own people.
  3. Regimes will, when faced with a choice between law 1 and law 2, invariably choose law 1
  4. Regimes that do not adhere to laws 1, 2 and 3 will not remain in power.
  5. All politics is economics.
